Five Questions: South Carolina vs. Georgia

South Carolina is two games into its football season and after hitting the road and dropping its Southeastern Conference opener, another high-ranking foe is on the schedule. Top-seeded Georgia travel to Williams-Brice Stadium to win their third straight game in the border rivalry.

Second year head coach Shane Beamer saw his team give up a 40-13 game last season between the hurdles and the Gamecocks (1-1, 0-1) will look to be competitive in the battle of SEC East enemies for only the second time in eight years .

The Gamecocks eliminated the Bulldogs (2-0, 0-0) in Athens in 2019 by a final score of 20-17, but every other game in 2015 and beyond has been a victory of two or more touchdowns for the Georgia.

Prior to this current seven-game streak that has seen Georgia win six, South Carolina had won four of the previous five games.

It’s a new year, though. South Carolina is looking to bounce back from a 14-point loss to Arkansas while Georgia is looking to keep its streak intact of not giving up a touchdown this season.

As the game approaches, we’ll look at five key questions for South Carolina.
