MEDIA REPLACEMENT NOTICE At Temple MDs, patient care is at the center of Dr. Puthumana’s mission and she takes the privacy of the patient information we hold seriously. We use a company called “VPN Solutions” to hold, maintain and secure the medical records of our patients. In this regard, we must inform you that on November 1, 2021, VPN Solutions told us that on October 31, 2021, an unauthorized third party accessed their computer servers via ransomware attack. VPN Solutions quickly stopped the attack, however, it was only after the third party encrypted the medical records, making them inaccessible. VPN Solutions first told us that there was no evidence that the medical records were compromised or taken by the third party. However, on December 20, 2021, VPN Solutions informed us that while they are now restoring medical records, they cannot determine whether the third party has accessed or acquired medical records. Information in medical records may include medical history, tests, diagnoses, names, addresses, or Social Security numbers. While there is no evidence that any of this information was acquired or improperly used by the third party, out of caution we are providing this notice. In addition, as a measure of goodwill, we offer 12 months of free credit monitoring to our patients. All of our patients who wish to enroll in free credit monitoring can call 1-833-648-2045.
