Oklahoma Attorney General Joins Lawyer Against Vaccination Mandate For Healthcare Workers

Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor and 11 other attorneys general have filed a new lawsuit against the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for healthcare workers.

These GAs come from Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, South Carolina, Utah and West Virginia.

“The Biden administration thinks they can just sign an executive order and will all be delighted that they take such good care of us and that it’s such a ridiculous swamp-based point of view,” O’Connor said.

The 12-state coalition filed for a preliminary injunction in the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana on Monday.

O’Connor says the healthcare industry is already threatened by a labor shortage and tells us the mandate would only exacerbate the problem.

O’Connor said his civil rights unit had received complaints about a directive to suspend more than 100 Tulsa hospital employees.

“We found Ascension leading the denial of virtually all exemptions requested on religious grounds. We considered this religious discrimination,” O’Connor said.

O’Connor said they filed a complaint and obtained a temporary restraining order against Ascension, but told us the hospital subsequently decided to suspend employees to remove them from the schedule.
